Most platforms are marketplaces. They list your salon alongside your competitors to drive traffic to their platform, not yours. Salon Studio gives you your own website on your own domain with built-in booking and management. No competitor listings, no marketplace fees, no sharing clients.

No contracts, no commitments. Salon Studio is billed monthly and you can cancel at any time from your account settings. Your subscription will remain active through the end of your current billing period.

Salon Studio automatically sends emails to your clients for appointment confirmations, reminders (24 hours before), and cancellation notices. Email notifications are included in your subscription with no per-message fees.

Yes. Clients can book several services in one visit through a single booking flow — Salon Studio sequences them back-to-back automatically, checks for conflicts, and confirms the whole visit at once (settled in one checkout if you have online payments enabled). Clients can also pick a specific stylist or "any available", and they can reschedule or cancel their appointments online on their own.

You can require a deposit when a client books, and their card is kept securely on file at the same time. When the visit is finished, the remaining balance and any tip are collected in one checkout on that saved card — so a client who doesn't show still covers the deposit, and closing out a visit is a single step. Deposits are optional and set per salon from Settings → Payments in the salon app — a flat amount, a percentage of the service total, or none (card on file only); if you'd rather not take them, leave them off.

Yes. Salon Studio attributes every service and every tip to the stylist who performed it, so you can see each team member's revenue and tips for any period. Service revenue and tips are always reported separately. It works whether your team is on commission, renting a booth, or a mix of both — Salon Studio captures who did what, and you move money out however your shop is set up. It doesn't set pay rates or run payroll.

Yes. Every new account starts with a 14-day free trial with full access to all features. No credit card required to start. If you don't subscribe after the trial, your account is simply paused with no charges.

Absolutely. You control your brand colors, logo, fonts, and the content displayed on your website. You also get your own custom domain so clients visit your salon's site directly. The entire experience matches your brand identity.

Your data belongs to you. If you cancel, we retain your data for 90 days in case you want to reactivate. After that, it is permanently and securely deleted. You can also request an export of your data at any time.

Yes — if you want it to. Salon Studio sets you up with your own Stripe account, right in the app: click Connect with Stripe from Settings → Payments and finish setup on Stripe's own secure page. Clients then pay securely when they book online, with every payment going directly to you — you're the merchant of record, and refunds, disputes, and payouts live in your Stripe dashboard. Salon Studio adds zero fees on top: no markup, no revenue sharing, no hidden costs — you pay only Stripe's standard processing rates (2.9% + 30¢ per online card payment as of June 2026), paid to Stripe directly. And it's completely optional. Prefer cash, tap, or e-transfer? Leave online payments off, or pause them anytime from Settings → Payments — in-person payments never run through Salon Studio. Stripe accounts through Salon Studio are available to US salons.

You do. When you buy a custom domain through Salon Studio, we register and manage it on your behalf so you never have to touch DNS, and while you're subscribed we hold that registration for you. If you ever leave, you can take the domain with you — we help transfer the registration to a registrar account you control. It's a manual transfer, subject to the registrar's and ICANN's rules (including the 60-day lock after a new registration), and it's spelled out in our terms.

We accept all major credit and debit cards including Visa, Mastercard, and American Express. All subscription payments are securely processed through Stripe.
